La tercera edición de los Game Awards tendrá lugar el 1 de diciembre en el Microsoft Theater de Los Ángeles, y la organización ha dado por fin a conocer qué juegos son los candidatos a llevarse los galardones. Los grandes triunfadores de 2014 y 2015 fueron Dragon Age: Inquisition y The Wither 3: Wild Hunt, tendencia que no se repetirá este año porque no hay ningún RPG en la máxima categoría.
